Descrizione: Two gunners use a rangefinder and a telescope to mark on a ranging board the correct fuse settings for anti-aircraft fire. A battery of two 13-pounders (probably Mark IXs) on Vauxhall Mark IV lorry mounts are driven along a narrow road in flat terrain. They halt, and the crews set up fire control and deploy the guns. The fire control group uses a large rangefinder, a small telescope and an angle meter. The crew ceases fire, packs up the guns and drives off. Back at the camp, a sergeant marks up numbers on the ranging board assisted by an officer, who watches for errors.
I. British instructional film in techniques of anti-aircraft fire using the lorry-mounted 13-pounder gun, Western Front, 1916-1918.II. A brief sequence of a field gun, possibly an 18-pounder rigged for high-angle fire, mounted on a firing platform in some wooded hills, filmed from the front. The crew may not be British. Perhaps Salonika Front before 1918.
